Cruelty-Free Brand Spectrum Collections Launches Vegan Snow White-Themed Makeup Brushes

UK-based beauty brand Spectrum Collections is bringing magic to the makeup drawers of many with its dreamy cruelty-free and vegan cosmetics. The company has teamed up with Disney for a Snow White-themed collection that is sure to put a smile on the face of any fairytale-lover.

The 10-piece brush set can be purchased in themes, like the Mirror Mirror style, which includes glittered mauve brush handles and cream-coloured bristles, or Bad Apple, that’s black and red color scheme “allows makeup artists to channel their inner Evil Queen,” writes Allure.

The enchanting brushes can be kept in a metallic Bad Apple acrylic pot or in character-themed makeup bags.

And any Snow White-themed collection would be incomplete without the iconic hand mirror, designed to replicate the item from the classic story. The Hand Held Mirror Mirror is lined with silver vegan leather and is embellished with the words: “FAIREST OF THEM ALL.”

This isn’t Spectrum’s first collaboration with Disney. In June, Spectrum launched cruelty-free products inspired by The Little Mermaid, that featured characters Ariel and Ursula and, like the Snow White collection, included references from the fairytale (like The Little Mermaid’s “Dinglehopper” vegan brush sets).

Spectrum has fast become a favorite for many conscious shoppers looking to purchase beauty tools that do not contain animal products. Spectrum prides itself on its PETA and Vegan Society certifications, always creating synthetic makeup brushes rather than using animal hair from squirrels, horses, goats, or minks that are often obtained through cruel methods.

Companies are responding to this shift in consumer preference. In February, cosmetics giant MAC made the decision to remove animal hair from its makeup brushes. And this week, CoverGirl Cosmetics became the largest makeup brand to earn the “Leaping Bunny” label, the gold-standard for cruelty-free certification which symbolizes that the brand’s entire supply chain is free from animal testing practices.

The Snow White collection is available in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand.
