Nasoya, America’s leading tofu brand, has perfected its much-loved dumpling recipe by making it vegan.

Following its updated and improved recipe, Nasoya has developed new vegan dumplings which come in two flavours, Tofu Vegetable and Thai Basil Vegetable.

In a press release, Ellen Kim, Nasoya’s Brand and Marketing Strategist, explained: “Nasoya is committed to making plant-based protein as simple and accessible as possible and Vegan Dumplings are a welcomed transformation to our wide range of fresh and convenient options.”

Nasoya has been a leading provider of natural and organic foods for more than thirty years, part of the family of brands at Pulmuone Foods, a company synonymous with wholesome, high-quality products.

The dumplings are ideal for consumers with limited time to spend preparing food. Cooked in a matter of minutes, the dumplings can be easily pan-fried or steamed.

Kim added, “We are excited to bring consumers another great tasting, plant-based product they can feel good about eating with our perfected Vegan Dumplings.”

Tofu is a popular ingredient in vegan cooking, with a multitude of uses. While it is commonly used in dumplings, veg-curious chefs are finding new and unique uses for the soy-based product.

From crispy tofu “bacon” in vegan Caesar salads to fried tofu fish tacos, the plant-based ingredient can be used to replace meat in a range of dishes. It is also used to create tofu “egg” scramble, ideal on the side of a cooked breakfast, or even inside a Mexican breakfast burrito.

Earlier this year, a giant tofu cake was even created in China, using over 3,100 kg of soybeans.  The cake, which weighed in at 7,000 kg, was made on Laojan Mountain, in central China’s Henan province, and was sampled by thousands of tourists who came to see it.

The Tofu Vegetable Dumplings are filled with tofu, mushrooms, bok choy, carrots, ginger, green onions, and sesame oil, while the Thai Basil Dumplings contain tofu, red bell peppers, green peas, carrots, and basil. As well as flavoursome, the dumplings are USDA Certified Organic and contain six to seven grams of plant-protein per serving size.

Nasoya’s vegan dumplings are now available at grocery stores nationwide.
