Vegan Beyond Burgers Now at 1,700 Denny’s Restaurants

(Updated 29 January 2020) Denny’s Beyond Burgers are now available in more than 1,700 restaurants across the U.S. and Canada.

The new Beyond Burger is the first plant-based meat option from the diner-style American restaurant chain. Served with tomatoes, onions, lettuce, and pickles, the new “bleeding” patty is available nationwide after a successful launch at selected Los Angeles locations.

While the burger itself is vegan, Denny’s also serves the new menu option with American cheese and All-American sauce.

“We could not be more excited to announce this game-changing partnership with Beyond Meat,” said Denny’s chief brand officer John Dillon in a statement.

California-based vegan meat brand Beyond Meat has partnered with a number of fast-food chains. Its protein-packed signature Beyond Burger “bleeds” just like its beef-based counterpart.

According to a press release, Denny’s is the first full-service family dining chain to partner with the brand.

Denny’s is launching the Beyond Burger nationwide.

Catering to Consumer Demand

“As a company, we strive to evolve with the tastes and demands of our customers,” continued Dillon. “We knew finding a plant-based option that met our incredibly high-quality standards and taste expectations was critical in staying at the top of our game.

He added, “the new Beyond Burger at Denny’s offers guests a great tasting burger.”

Dillon said the chain is “delighted” to launch the new menu option.

Beyond Meat’s mission is to make plant-based protein an accessible choice. Its plant-based patties—made from pea protein—are available around the world, in a number of supermarkets, restaurants, fast-food joints, and pubs.

The burgers are more environmentally-friendly than beef; producing a Beyond Burger requires 99 percent less water and 93 percent less land than producing a beef burger.

“We’re working to make delicious plant-based meat as accessible as possible,” said Tim Smith, Beyond Meat’s vice president of North America sales foodservice, in a statement. “Through our partnership with Denny’s, we look forward to introducing more families to the nutritional and environmental benefits of consuming plant-based meat.

Denny’s Beyond Burger is available now in the U.S. and Canada. On January 30, customers can order on for free with any beverage between 11 am to 10 pm.
