Kim Kardashian Just Hosted a Vegan Cooking Class With Beyond Meat

(Updated May 3, 2021) Kim Kardashian just hosted her very own vegan cooking class at the Poosh Your Wellness virtual festival.

The reality TV star cut out meat from her diet earlier this year. In January, she posted on Instagram: “Plant-based and two workouts a day for 30 days to get our mind and body right this year!”

Since then, she has posted about plant-based food a few times on social media; she’s a fan of Beyond Meat and has shared images of the California brand’s products, including the Beyond Breakfast Sausage, Beyond Meatballs, and Beyond Beef.

At the virtual wellness festival, launched by sister Kourtney and her digital wellness platform Poosh, Kardashian hosted a guided vegan cooking tutorial, presented by Beyond Meat.

Is Kim Kardashian Vegan?

Kardashian has experimented with plant-based food on a number of occasions, but this time, she appears to be sticking with the lifestyle. She has even convinced family members to give it a try. In March, after sharing a vegan lunch with Kourtney and younger sister Khloe, she posted on Instagram: “I’ve officially converted three family members!!! #PlantBasedLife.”

She initially started experimenting with plant-based food to help ease the symptoms of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. She wrote in a post on Poosh: “I even tried an herbal tea that tasted like tar. I tried celery juice for eight weeks. Then I’d do celery juice mixed with the tea. I would do that twice a day, I was just exhausted by everything. I changed my diet to plant-based (which I still follow).”

Poosh Your Wellness

The virtual Poosh Your Wellness festival took place on May 1.

As well as Kardashian’s vegan cooking class, attendees were treated to a lineup of various clean beauty, health, and wellness workshops (including a facial yoga class).

Kendall Jenner, the second-to-youngest member of the Kardashian family, hosted a happy hour at the end of the festival with her new tequila brand, 818.

Kourtney told People magazine ahead of the event: “I cannot wait to see Kim showing us how to make one of her favorite plant-based recipes. And well, happy hour with Kendall is for sure going to be hilarious. Pray for me because we will be drinking tequila. Having my sisters, alongside experts and thought leaders, is going to be like spending the day with friends. The kind of friends who can teach you something.”
