Lizzo Shares Her Favorite Resource for Beginner Vegans

Lizzo recently took to Instagram to share her favorite resource for beginner vegans: Vegan Questt.

The three-time Grammy Award-winning singer shared Vegan Questt’s promo commercial to her Instagram Story.

“If you wanna be vegan and don’t know where to start go @veganquestt,” she wrote alongside the video.

The vegan grocery delivery service aims to make the “transition to plant-based fun and easy.” Vegan Questt provides fresh produce from local markets to show people “how to shop vegan at an affordable price.”

Courtney Hollinquest, one of Lizzo’s dancers, founded the company. In addition to performing with the singer on stage during her tour, Hollinquest has appeared in Lizzo’s TikTok dance videos.

Lizzo Shares What She Eats in a Day

Lizzo has been turning her TikTok vegan. She’s shared recipes for a spicy vegan chicken sandwich, a vegan Jamaican spicy beef patty, and vegan fried chicken and biscuits. She used JUST Egg to make the latter. The Jamaican beefless patty recipe featured plant-based meat by MorningStar Farms, Tofutti dairy-free cream cheese, and Frank’s RedHot Seasoning Blend.

She has also made vegan “frank and beans” with onions and meatless bacon. “I made vegan Frank and beans, I made vegan Frank and beans,” she sang in a TikTok video.

In June, the singer told her 8.7 million TikTok followers at the time that being vegan is easy. She made the announcement during a recipe video for a vegan, cheesy egg scramble she shared on the platform.

“So being plant-based and vegan has been pretty easy except for when I am hungover. I used to crave cheesy eggs, so here is my substitute for cravings when you’re hungover,” she said in the video.

Last month, Lizzo shared a video of what she eats in a day. She indulged in a coconut water, vegetable, and fruit smoothie for breakfast. At lunch, she had a kale salad with broccoli, avocado, and other vegetables.

For a mid-day snack, she ate vegan chips with garlic hummus. For dinner, she enjoyed vegan mushroom balls, which she mixed with chickpeas, quinoa, and leftover salad from lunch. And to round out the evening, Lizzo had a peanut butter and jelly smoothie for an after-dinner snack.

“As a new vegan, I’m enjoying exploring flavors from plants and plant-based proteins! Every journey is personal and deserves to be celebrated,” she captioned alongside the video.

The singer announced on Instagram that she is trying out a raw vegan diet. “So since being vegan I’ve found that I eat a lot of meat substitutes, whether its tempeh or jackfruit or Beyond burger or whatever,” Lizzo explained.

She continued: “So, I’m going to try to be raw for a little bit to try to get a sense of pure, raw veganism. This raw vegan lifestyle…get into it!”
