Martha Stewart Launches Vegan Leather Shoe Range 'Martha Everyday' at Payless

Martha Stewart just dropped a shoe collection with Payless and it’s all made from vegan leather.

The collection, called “Martha Everyday,” features 12 styles including vegan patent leather heels, strappy stilettos, scalloped flats, and kitten heel mules. Colors are primarily neutral, featuring black or nude, plus gold and “gilver” – a Martha Everyday-exclusive color that combines silver with festive holiday sparkles.

According to Payless, the vegan leather shoes were designed with versatility in mind, so wearers can don them for parties or with a relaxed, casual look. “For comfortable and classy shoes, look no further than the Martha Stewart designer collection at Payless! With heels, flats, mules, and sandals, there’s a pair of shoes to go with every style and outfit in your closet,” states the website. Prices start at $29.99 and nothing costs more than $35, keeping in line with Payless’ affordable ethos.

“I am thrilled to partner with Payless to design a line of footwear that’s both beautiful and affordable,” Stewart wrote on her website. “For as long as I’ve been in business my goal has been to deliver well-made, beautiful products to my audience, at the right price. Payless has the same goal, making them a perfect partner to collaborate with to create gorgeous shoes that our customers can afford.”

Martha Stewart Loves Cruelty-Free Fashion

As reported by international animal rights organization PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), Stewart has an affinity for cruelty-free fashion. When asked about fur, the businesswoman replied, “I used to wear real fur, but, like many others, I had a change of heart when I learned what actually happens to the animals.”

Stewart has also dabbled with vegan food. Last July, on the VH1 cooking show “Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party,” the former talk show host tried to get her co-host, rapper Snoop Dogg, to try plant-based food with the help of actor Michelle Rodriguez and Cedric the Entertainer.

The episode, called “Gettin’ Veggie With It,” featured vegetarian recipes and also saw to Snoop cooking up some “special greens of his own” just for Stewart.

In 2011, she dedicated an episode of “The Martha Stewart Show” to learning about living a vegan lifestyle. Though not plant-based herself, Stewart has shared a number of vegan recipes on her site.
