Where to Get Miley Cyrus’s Vegan Leather Snakeskin Boots

Vegan musician Miley Cyrus recently performed her latest politically charged hitNothing Breaks Like a Heart” with DJ Mark Ronson on “Saturday Night Live.” During the performance, Cyrus wore vegan snakeskin from head to toe, complete with faux leather boots.

The boots were custom made for the singer by cruelty-free vegan footwear designer and luxury brand MINK founder, Rebecca Mink. The designer is a favorite of Cyrus’s; she also owns a pair of Elton John-themed stilettos made by MINK. The shoes were created in honor of Cyrus’ love for John, who she performed onstage with at the 60th Grammy Awards last year.

MINK also created a custom pair of stiletto heels shaped in a cross for Cyrus’s Met Gala appearance last year.

But MINK’s shoes – made in a prized Italian factory which also creates footwear for Chanel and Louboutin – aren’t only for celebrities.

Last year, the brand revealed that its luxury vegan shoes would soon be available for public purchase. MINK notes, “[the] upcoming customizable website will give you the opportunity to design your dream vegan shoes.”

As sustainable fashion gains popularity, more and more luxury cruelty-free products are becoming available.

Like MINK, Beyond Skin offers vegan luxury footwear with multiple options for faux snakeskin boots, as well as stilettos, sneakers, sandals, slippers, and pumps. Italian vegan brand Bellastoria offers a multitude of cruelty-free designs, as well as the opportunity to design your own shoes. In just three weeks, Bellastoria will create your customized shoe in the style and colors you love. A hot new vegan shoe brand to watch in the luxury space is Baluta, the brainchild of luxury fashion lover Catarina Pedroso.

There are multiple ways to purchase more affordable versions of vegan snakeskin boots, too. Aquapillar offers block heel faux snakeskin boots or a pair with a foldable knee, and Azalea Wang creates faux python vegan leather thigh high boots with a peep toe.

Cyrus herself is on a mission to bring vegan fashion into the mainstream, often showing off her cruelty-free fashion on social media and in public appearances. In December, the singer stepped out in London in a faux leather ensemble wearing Stella McCartney boots and a Chanel mini-skirt. The look was praised by leading fashion magazine Vogue, who said Cyrus’ outfit was “a peek at how we’ll all be dressing in the near future.”

And last year, Cyrus teamed up with iconic vegan shoewear brand Converse for several custom ranges of shoes and clothes.
