Probiotic CareBars will soon be available in Sprouts Farmers Market! Eco Friendly Foods Initiative (EFFi), makers of Probiotic CareBars, have announced that they will partnering with Sprouts. Sprouts will begin by stocking the CareBars in three different flavours. CEO and founder of EFFi, Carina Ayden, is committed to producing and supplying plant-based foods that care for the environment as well as health.

Ayden is excited by the new partnership and believes that EFFi and Sprouts core values are the same. ‘We are incredibly honored to be part of the Sprouts family,’ says Ayden, ‘We couldn’t be more excited to provide our Probiotic CareBars to this nutritionally-conscious community as a delicious and nutritious snack for all ages.’

The L.A. based snack brand have been growing in popularity recently, with the CareBars even appearing in CPG’s ‘Top 5 Most Innovative Snacks’. EFFi’s focus on health and wellness means that all their products contain live probiotics in order to promote a healthy digestive system and attempt to prevent disease. Not wanting to compromise on taste, the brand partnered with Cleveland Clinic’s ‘Go!Healthy’ program in 2012 in order to refine the list of ingredients and recipes that they would use.

EFFi’s mission is inspired by Ayden’s own personal experiences. Aged four she ‘suffered serious trauma’. This led to a life full of surgeries, doctors visits and chronic pain. As a result of her time undergoing medical procedures, Ayden’s digestive system was impaired and she had to focus on an anti-inflammatory diet in order to bring her digestive system and body’s immunity back to health. Having received a lot of information on the subject from medical professionals she decided the best course of action was to decrease her meat consumption and cut out dairy altogether which aided her with a quick recovery.

Soon you will be able to grab a snack at your local sprouts that is good for your tummy, good for the environment, good for the animals and most importantly, good for your tastebuds!
