Vegan musician Travis Barker’s CBD brand, Barker Wellness, has launched a line for cats and dogs.
The vegan CBD for pets debuted on April 30 and comes in two meat-flavored variates: all-natural beef and all-natural tuna. They also come in two concentrations—250 mg and 500 mg.
“I’ve been using CBD products for years now to help with relaxation, pain management and overall wellness. As a father to a few amazing dogs, I wanted to expand my line to include premium-grade CBD products that would benefit them as well,” Barker said in a statement shared with LIVEKINDLY. “The products have really helped them become more calm and have also improved their general health.”
According to a press release, these CBD pet tinctures are intended for use as daily nutritional supplements. Barker Wellness says the tinctures can help relieve pet stress, alleviate joint and muscle discomfort, and improve your pet’s sleep and mood.
Additionally, Barker Wellness notes that its pet CBD tinctures are made to the same “exacting standards” as its tinctures for humans.
All four tinctures contain MCT oil derived from coconuts, broad-spectrum hemp oil extract, and natural vegan flavoring. The company also sells other vegan products including pain relief cream, and sleep, maintenance, and recovery tinctures for humans.
In addition to the CBD pet tinctures from Barker Wellness, there are currently similar products on the market from Valerio, Canna-Pet and more. Check out our vegan and cruelty-free CBD pet product guide here.
Are All Barker Wellness Products Vegan?
Seeing as how Barker is vegan, it’s no surprise that all Barker Wellness products are, too. When the company launched in February 2021, it did so in an effort to provide consumers with “ethically made cannabinoid-infused, THC-FREE, all-natural, vegan and cruelty-free products.”
Barker also noted that he and his family use these products on a daily basis.
“I started trying lots of different CBD products in my own daily routine and saw their benefits firsthand,” the former Blink-182 drummer said in a separate statement at the time. “So I decided to create my own ideal formulas and share them with anyone looking to improve their general health.”
During a 2019 episode of Joe Rogan’s podcast, Barker revealed he went vegan after surviving a plane 2008 plane crash.
“After having to eat meat in the hospital, I got out and I never wanted to eat anything that came from an animal again,” he explained to Vice in 2015. Speaking with Men’s Journal, Barker added that being vegan has given him “endless amounts of energy.”
