Eight-time Grammy Award-winning artist Ziggy Marley—the eldest son of reggae legend Bob Marley—just launched a vegan, CBD wellness line for pets.
The musician teamed up with botanical wellness brand One Farm to create the line, called Ziggy Marley Apawthecary. The first product, Romeo’s Agility Chews, features organic ingredients, including shiitake mushrooms, cordyceps (a type of fungi), and turmeric.
“Nature has always played a major role in my life,” Marley said. “I was drawn to One Farm because of their use of whole-plant ingredients and their commitment to quality, sustainability, and transparency.”
But Marley’s furry, four-legged companion also inspired him to make the line. Last year, he welcomed Romeo into his household and the two forged an instant bond. (The pooch even inspired Marley to write a children’s book, entitled My Dog Romeo, and a song of the same name.)
“Playing soccer almost every day, my knees have felt the impact over the years. When I saw how active Romeo was as a puppy, I knew I needed to take care of his joint health now, to help prevent problems in the long run,” Marley explained.

Romeo’s Agility Chews also contain five milligrams of One Farm’s organic CBD. The peanut butter-flavored chews help to support dogs’ overall mental and physical well-being and help combat inflammation.
Founded in 2017, One Farm carries a number of CBD-based products, including oils and beverage additive powders. ”I started this company to sustainably share nature’s remedies to enrich people’s lives, and the health and wellness of pets is such an important aspect of people’s lives,” One Farm’s CEO and founder Scott Cusack said.
Marley isn’t the only celeb to embrace the CBD space. Vegan musician Travis Barker’s CBD brand, Barker Wellness, launched a line for cats and dogs in April. The CBD pet tinctures, which are daily nutritional supplements, help to relieve stress in companion animals. They also work to alleviate joint and muscle discomfort and can help improve overall mood.
Actor Kristen Bell also launched her own vegan CBD skincare brand, Happy Dance, at Ulta Beauty stores across the U.S. earlier this year. The brand’s range of products includes bath bombs and body butters—all of which are infused with CBD.
Ziggy Marley Apawthecary has a number of other wellness products in the pipeline, including Romeo’s CBD Oil. The oil will be available in topical form, to help relieve anxiety, and as a food additive to support hip and joint health.
